About the Project

M’akola Development Services (MDS) is working with the Aboriginal Housing Society of Prince George (AHSPG) to develop a multi-phased, comprehensively planned 6.9-acre property located in Prince George, BC.

This site will be designed for a diversity of people, uses and buildings, centered around a large gathering space that is universally accessible, provides safe play areas for children, and promotes interaction between tenants. Once realized, the project is anticipated to include approximately 150 residential units, a childcare facility, a digital resource centre/Indigenous library, and commercial and service spaces. It will be a culturally safe place for Indigenous people living in Prince George, many of whom have moved to Prince George from across the north in order to pursue education or work opportunities.

This is a brief overview. The full case study, with additional photos, project details, and partner information, lives on M'akola Development Services website.
